The prospect of switching the latest World Rally Championship and F1 machinery was raised by the two Sebs during their meeting in the Principality.
Ogier was making a one-off appearance in the Porsche Supercup, in which he finished 13th.
His WRC team, Volkswagen Motorsport, will formally invite three-time F1 champion Vettel to test a Polo R WRC - and Ogier is hoping the offer will be reciprocated.
Ogier admitted he and Vettel have spoken about the car swap, saying: "He loves rallying as well and he is very interested to try the Polo.
"Every driver would like to feel the experience of driving a Formula 1 car, and of course I would too.
"When I sat in the car, it was very tight – it was Vettel installation and he is a little bit smaller than me."
Ogier revealed he is trying to set up his own test in a Formula 3 car in order to better acclimatise to single-seaters.
For Vettel to get the full feeling of rallying, Ogier recommended a shot in the Polo on gravel.
"I don't know if he would prefer to drive on gravel or asphalt, but probably the feeling would be better on gravel."
