Dani Sordo wins Rally of Portugal warm-up event

Dani Sordo Citroen WRC 2013 SwedenDani Sordo took his first victory since returning to Citroen on Saturday's Fafe Rally Sprint in Portugal.
The Spaniard overcame poor form on the last round of the World Rally Championship in Mexico to clinch a one-second win in his DS3 WRC ahead of Mads Ostberg's M-Sport Ford.
The now traditional Rally of Portugal warm-up was watched by more than 100,000 fans, who lined the route of the famous Fafe stage.
Sordo's win was made easier by the absence of world championship leader Sebastien Ogier. The winner of the last two WRC rounds was ruled out of the event by illness.
Ogier's Volkswagen team-mate Andreas Mikkelsen marked his competitive debut in a Polo R WRC with fourth place.
The final podium position behind Sordo and Ostberg was taken by Martin Prokop in his privately-run Ford Fiesta RS WRC.
Robert Kubica finished fifth in his Citroen DS3 RRC on what was his first event on gravel.
