Formula 1 paddock set for motorhome mix-up

Bernie Ecclestone
Formula 1 drivers are to face the 'long walk' in the paddock after Bernie Ecclestone green-lighted plans for a motorhome mix-up.

As an experiment in Malaysia, Ecclestone trialled an idea that the teams no longer had their hospitality units arranged right next to their garages in constructors' championship order.
The aim of this was to prevent drivers spending just a few seconds in the paddock each day as they nipped straight from their motorhomes to the garages and back again.
AUTOSPORT has learned that the changes to the long-established paddock protocol will now stay in force after Ecclestone felt that the new way of ordering the teams was an improvement for media, fans and television coverage.
While the garages of the teams will still be in constructors' order, their motorhomes will be placed in a different sequence, forcing drivers and team personnel to walk further and face more interaction with each other and paddock members.
